Scholarship and grant opportunities
The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce promotes the valuing of education and lifelong love of learning, furthering this with a variety of scholarship and grant opportunities. These include:
5/12 Scholarship
An award for 5th graders, the 5/12 Scholarship is based on demonstration of potential, academic achievement, personal involvement, school attendance, and financial need. Details here.
Technical Scholarship
Given to three or more students planning to attend a technical post-secondary institution. Details and application here.
Brian LaViolette Foundation Scholarship
Facilitated by Partners in Education and funded by the Brian LaViolette Foundation. Details here.
Sue Todey Drug Alliance Achievement Scholarship
The Steering Board of the Green Bay Area Drug Alliance, established the Sue Todey Drug Alliance Achievement Scholarship in recognition of the achievements in alcohol and other drug prevention of Sue Todey, past president of the organization. Details and application here.
Northeast Wisconsin International Scholarship Program
Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded to area students pursuing internationally oriented degrees and certificates (business, economics, or international studies) or accredited study abroad curriculum. Details here.
Youth Entrepreneur Grants
Several area middle and high school students are presented with Youth Entrepreneur Grants to support summer business ventures. Students are selected and awarded mini-grant dollars based on business plans developed with the assistance of mentors from the Chamber's Small Business Council and SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives).
