Alumni Leadership Green Bay (ALGB)
The Tall Ships are coming!

…and we’d like YOUR help to make this a successful event. On the weekend of Aug. 13-15, 12 historic tall ships will dock in Green Bay and will be toured by nearly 70,000 people! Green Bay is one of only six ports in the USA and Canada and the only port in Wisconsin to be honored as host to these beautiful vessels.

Alumni Leadership Green Bay (ALGB) is recruiting Alumni volunteers (and their significant others)  to work crowd control for the Tall Ships weekend. “Crowd control” essentially means that you are standing on the dock near a ship and helping to board visitors. While visitors are waiting in line, you get to be an ambassador for our city, answering questions about anything and everything from “how do the Packers look this year?” to “where can I get a good cup of coffee?”

As a Tall Ships volunteer, you work a four-hour shift and receive free admission to the event the day of your shift. So, for example, if you work 1-5 on Saturday, you can attend the event and tour the ships on Saturday morning. You will receive a Tall Ships t-shirt and a chance to win the use of a Resch Center Suite for a Gamblers game and $200 in food and beverages! Leadership Green Bay also receives a donation to our program for providing volunteers. What a great opportunity!

The shifts available are Friday, Aug. 13, 1-5pm, Saturday, Aug. 14 from 1-5pm, and Sunday, Aug. 15 from 9am -1pm.

Please join us in helping to make this a successful event for our community and have fun while doing it! To sign up for one or more shifts on Tall Ships weekend, please contact Michele Farnsworth at 920-562-5667 or gruvbug2003@yahoo.com before July 30.
